At Hilland McNulty our aim is to give the best possible service to clients during this difficult time, whilst changing practices where required to ensure that we are following government guidance in promoting the health and welfare of our clients and staff. At the moment we are fully operational, but we expect there are more significant changes ahead which will affect our practice and our service to you.

To that end we advise of the following:

  • We are reducing face to face appointments to those which are only strictly necessary and involve you signing something. We will let you know as and when you need to sign.
  • We are conducting meetings by telephone (please if possible call between 10 am and 12 noon, and 2 pm and 4 pm; our solicitors aim to return calls within 48 hours) and communicating via email where possible. If you can’t get a solicitor or it is urgent please ask for a phone appointment.
  • Our staff are adopting “safe distance” working practices, not sharing items such as pens etc and good hygiene and safe working practices as per government guidance.
  • We ask that clients adopt the same practices when attending at our office. It would be helpful if you could bring along and use your own pen for signing. Meetings will be held for no longer than necessary and we can deal with any other queries you have by email/phone.
  • We are arranging for staff to work more from home; this may cause some delay in our service to you and we ask that you bear with us.
  • Whilst we aim to provide services as usual during the period of uncertainty caused by the Coronavirus, we may be affected by staff absence. If one of our solicitors becomes ill or requires self-isolating this may cause delay in our service to you.
  • We also rely on third parties, including government agencies operating as usual or having alternative arrangements in place. This may affect the services which we can provide but we shall keep you advised of such matters as best we can in the circumstances.
  • In the event of a shutdown, you may only be able to reach us on certain email addresses which are undernoted.
  • Emergency mobile numbers for use in after-hours criminal court matters are also undernoted.

We wish to reassure our clients that we will do all that we can to continue to provide a full service to our clients; we appreciate your patience and consideration.
